People ending TMS sometims believe that distracting themselves from the pain will help end the pain. I'm not so convinced.

Occupation in things outside ourselves could be described as distraction, but engagement (you used) is a better word. I do feel like when I give the brain something else to focus on - it allows some normalcy to return. Getting on with life despite the brea in screaming at us.

I ALWAYS love all of the sounds around you in your videos. ❤️ I live in the country, and I notice all of these awesome wonders of this world. 🌎 Today, the geese made me smile. 😉

So right Dan 😊 Impossible to ignore pain and when I try to distract it’s still there if anything getting far worse as if it wants to be felt above the distraction. However when I engage in something without the intent of distraction and in a positive way - pain levels drop I realise afterwards. Watching your videos daily which are so positive and reassuring and I become absorbed in gives me a few moments of pain relief and enthusiasm and hope. Can’t thank you enough for all you do to help others xxx

very good!! it DOES make sense... it is hard to be indifferent if you don't have something else to 'be'... it reminds me of an episode of Frasier where he is trying to take up cycling and keeps running into a mailbox on his route every day lol until somebody told him what you just said, 'stop looking at the mailbox!!!' lol

Have you heard of a book called “The Presence Process”? I’ve heard it’s good. Also I love the background noises here. Is that birds? Your place looks so peaceful.
