Bond kept his mental sanity during all this torture by thinking about sexy ladies, and that is why Pierce Brosnan's James Bond is the Bondiest Bond of all the Bonds.

Out of all the James Bond Intros this is the harshest one. He was tortured the entire time lol

You know what I love this song and I’m not afraid to admit it, I also love the idea that the film doesn’t pause with the Intro sequence but instead shows bone being tortured throughout the sequence

2002 : Bond is Tortured 14 months
2006 : Bond is tortured for just a chip in the Poker Game

When someone says Pierce Brosnan's Bond isn't as strong as Craig's,
I show them this torture scene.

Absolutely amazing immersion. In this movie, not only was Bond tortured, but the audience as well

Impressive CGI for 2002. They really put a lot of effort into this intro. The electroclash song is hard, too..

Don't know about you but I think this is one of the best animations, Ice, Fire, and Sparkles just beautiful.

I really appreciate how this credits sequence actually continues the narrative all throughout. It isn't just there for style - it also keeps the story going and helps the audience feel the pain and passage of time that Bond experienced. It's clever.

What is interesting about this opening is that it uses the abstract imagery to allude the tortures that Bond is going through. it is also a great way to show the passing of time as bond is there for a long time. This film did do one thing through  the opening if nothing else, this time bond doesn't win and escape back to cosy London and the arms of some unnamed woman,  before it's time this shows just as the Craig era does, bond in real danger, he's not in control, he's vulnerable and powerless which adds a new dynamic to the character. The Craig films excel in this respect.

One of the most memorable opening scenes of any James Bone movies ever.

Without doubt, personally i think this is the best James Bond opening song ever made out of all Bonds movies. So realistic, full of pain, sadness & darkness of the torture yet he never gave up hope to served his country until the end of time. Truly masterpiece & Nostalgic 🌠 ⚔️

I remember replaying this over and over on DVD and listening to it as an 11 year old thinking it was so cool. Ngl I just played it like 5 times at age 31 and I still think it's cool af haha.

Honestly people always fight over the best bond. All of them did an amazing job. They each have their own vibe and way handling things.

This is my first Bond movie that I watched on the theater as a child, boy and I love it, I still can feel the surround sound when the bullet passes through, all the effects everything, it was such and amazing show, I know a victory is style over substance but I can't help but love this movie.

For a long time, I did act harshly upon this film. But the time made it grow on me. It is the essential classic 007. The Bond that doesn't get shot, the Bond that isn't giving up, and is always having an escape plan. "Oh but he was being tortured, how didn't he give up" He was being tortured inside a Korean Facility, what did you expect? Try to escape them with no gadgets as well and see how you'll end up.

Brosnan is my favorite Bond and he put his best in his last film. He always desired to be 007 since the mid-'80s, and he was always really excited about being Bond. The producers were absolutely unfair with him by firing him through the phone.

I actually like Die Another Day and I'd surely watch it 1000 times over watching No Time To Die. Because at least in DAD, Bond doesn't get properly killed, and that indeed killed the latest film for me.
