Vw Audi dsg reverse problem

I have this issue with my 2009 VW Passat TDI 125 kw DSG Wagon. It has a DQ250 6 speed gearbox.
If you are manouvering using reverse multiple times it will eventually refuse to select reverse gear.
I have found that I need to put the shift into park, turn the ignition off for about 10 seconds and the start the engine again.
The DSG box will then select reverse.
When it happens it makes clunking sounds as if its trying to select reverse and the stops. It only happens after I have put it into reverse a few times continuosly. E.G. when reversing a trailer up a long driveway and having to correct a few times.
From what I have learnt it is a problem with the mechatronic unit which can be repaired or replaced separately from the gearbox.
I have ensured the gear oil changes have been done within the distance/time requirements.
I'll live with it for now as the DSG box performs perfectly otherwise and if I get an engine light on the dash I use my scan tool to remove it.

Low oil in gearbox had it on my Golf gt tdi dsg 6 speed … engine light popped up and done the exact same as shown in video … I plugged it in on my diagnostics and it shown me a code which I can’t remember now I’ve diagnosed the code and it was low oil topped up oil delete the code and car works as should …. Every garage I called straight away assumed it was mechatronics… maybe I got lucky but for sure change ur filters and oil and delete engine light code and see if it works than …. If not then u have to resort on a different option thanks for your time
