Join Scott Hanselman and Alex Ellis as they discuss how you can create your own Raspberry Pi cluster that runs Kubernetes on the metal.

Then, take it to the next level by running OpenFaas (an open source serverless solution) on top of it. We'll see why and how to move from IaaS, to PaaS, to Serverless, and beyond! Building a hobbyist cluster that sits on your desk might just make you a better cloud developer!

Wonderful video. I've heard Alex E on Scott H's podcast, and have been playing with OpenFaaS. It is really impressive. I haven't had the courage to order Raspberry Pis/hardware yet, but this video is giving me inspiration.

Set up my own cluster recently thanks to Scott Hanselman's blog post about it. Bought the blinkt LED strips and fitted them to my cluster, thinking I was being all original with my idea. Then 2 weeks later I watch this and realise I've just naturally copied what they did with their cluster. Still great fun though! Playing with OpenFaaS now and talking to the Kubernetes API. Great fun and a tremendous way to learn!

Awesome...I am surprised how did you change the command prompt to Dynamic value...the Green thing you mentioned as something telling your blood sugar value ... cool

What about RAM, the Raspberry pi is limited to a default 8Gb RAM what if your want more a single virtual machine (Like 16 for a single VM) with the clustered setup ?
