GREAT WAY TO MAKE CONCRETE COUNTER TOPS

For hydrophobicity, I would recommend covering the countertop with silicate glue (liquid glass).

10 years ago a dude did one of them while I was doing the kitchen floor and I thought what a horrible idea...but yet it turns out to be a look in the future.

You could do a stamp on it.. put some pattern.. or some other cool things you can do with conc. instead of just leaving it like a driveway grounds.

Cool, simple and affordable. Redguard is smart. One of my early outdoor jobs I poured on top of some plywood that the contractor had set up. After a few weeks the top was all cracked to pieces from the expansion and contraction.

Can you share the ratio for cement, sand..what should i use to make it stronger. What mesh do you use to strenthen and prevent cement from breaking?

This is very nice. My question is: the base upon which you pull the concrete mix, when the concrete drys up, do you remove it or you leave it there?

I've watched quite a few concrete counters videos and they've all said to work with a couple of people: one to mix and one to pour into the forms and smooth as you were doing. So, as a novice should I have two? I don't know how quickly I can work at smoothing the concrete out in the forms.
