I bought the RE320 When I saw it at Guitar Center a few week ago. I went in to pick up a new shock mount for my MXLR 144. Best Spontaneous unplanned purchase I have made for my gaming commentary and podcasting!! I wanted an RE20 but the 320 gives me everything I've always wanted!! I can say its perfect straight into a mixer. I did pick up a dbx 266xs compressor last week to get a more tighter sound...Man its glorious!

Great review. I use a Fethead with my RE320 and it takes performance to another level. Works great with my Tascam and Zoom H5.

A lot of professional engineers like myself have snapped these up because they really make a sweet, detailed kick. Perfect for Jazz, and avoids the heavier punch but lack of upper end detail of the 52a, and more punch in the lower mid that the AKG D112 sometimes lacks. The cheap price is really attractive (and yes, $300 in pro audio is very cheap for what you get with this)
And, yeah. It's a good broadcasting mic. But, it lives on my project mixer for Zoom and broadcast sessions.

Great review and video. The 320 is a great “all around” mic compared to the more low end sound of the RE20.

Nice! What is your opinion on the "quality" of a Yeti? Been using it for a couple months after I upgraded from a Snowball. Seems to sound better from what I can tell.

is this mic good with off axis rejection? I want to use this while streaming but most mics pick up a ton of sound from my mechanical keyboard...can this mic deal with that sound better than most mics? Great video btw

Just to clear up any confusion, the RE320 is not a low gain mic and does not need a Cloudlifter to bring the gain up to an appropriate level.

The RE320 has a more airy sound, great top end, and the Neodynium element gives you more room for gain. Excellent mic!

Hey man, just want to say, huge fan of your channel. I am actually trying to develop a career in Radio, and I love using microphones and audio to make a living, I'm a Communications student at college. I will graduate with my Bachelor's degree in that major this summer. I've already done an internship at a radio station, but (unfortunately), the radio stations in my area don't have any openings. So, if radio doesn't work out, I'm hoping to try my hand at Voice Over narration. But, for now, I'm just looking for a job of any kind while I finish my classes.

Great voice. May I know what kind and model of mic you used in this video? Thanks

By the way, one question, sort of a hypothetical. Let's say you were using the RE-320 for a Podcast that you do, but (because you have a pretty low baritone/upper base voice), you sit about 7 or 8 inches away from the microphone, would that help with the air moving across the grille thing that you noticed with this model? Or would you still need a windscreen? The reason I ask is that my voice is very resonant, and carries really far, and I've noticed that when I sit farther away from my current microphone, sound quality comes out better. My current model is the Audio-Technica AT-2005 -- which is a dynamic USB/XLR combo mic. Thanks for your time.

This is the best microphone. Not only does it sound great, but its strong. I can use it to fight off zombies AND GIVE A KICKASS RADIO PODCAST ABOUT WHERE THEY ARE. 10/10

Picked up one of these after watching this video about a month ago, for a seriously good deal. Thank you for the recommendation!

I'm still boring as hell, but at least my audio is on point :D

hi! quick question. I just bought this mic off eBay 2 days ago and its on its way to me; I am very excited. I have a Presonus audio box audio interface.... I plan on at least occasionally live streaming games and using the microphone while playing games! If i don't get the cl-1 is that going to increase the sound of my keyboard in my recordings?

Do I need the cloudlifter if I just max the gain. On the focusrite solo 3rd gen

Is a cloudlifter necessary or would it work good enough without it and still sound better than say a blue yeti or some other USB mic as long as I'm running it through a good interface like the Scarlet or the Onyx Blackjack?

Hey :)

Do you think the RE320 has noticable better sound / better high frequencies than the Procaster? I think about buying one of them, I have the money for a 320, but do you think it's 100€ more worth it? :)

Thank you for your helpful reviews btw! :)
