Non tech savvy people will create so many myths when they learn about "find your device even when the phone is dead" feature

How have they not already had this? There are over 3 BILLION android phones out there and probably millions of kiosk tablets at offices and restaurants that use Android as the OS. It should be the strongest network out there

Why are they talking about this as if Apple were the first and only one to have this thing 💀
Samsung has had this for a long time too, this just makes it 100 times better because it expands the network to every Android device.

The thing no one is talking about... Do you think with the network google will finally announce their version of an airtag? - someone please feel free to chime in - just seems like such a missed opportunity

I just hope my Galaxy Smart Tags get updated to support this.

Samsung has location tags, and they are pretty good, too...

If I cant find my phone at home. I just say to my google mini "I can't find me phone". Google will unmute my phone, turn the ringer to max and ring my phone" best feature ever.

The Android "Save Parking" is a setting. I've noticed that many people mistakenly/unknowingly disable it when setting up the device or through a one-off action.

I realized this because my phone asked me multiple times, which I declined. Then the day I needed it, it wasn't there. And after a few months I went through the settings and found it was disabled.

The beauty of this too is Google and Apple were working together on this to stomp out stalking. So iphones should notify you of android trackers nearby and vice versa. Win win imo when companies work together.

Samsung introduced UWB YEARS ago, even before Apple and its even better than airtags. Why does no one talk about it?

I didn't know if my speakers could find my phone the other day, I was frustrated and just asked on a lark, and it rang my phone, which ended up sitting right in front of my face...🙄😂

I already have a few Samsung trackers. I hope those get integrated with the rest of the android tracker ecosystem, though I doubt it..

If an iPhone is connected via Bluetooth to the car; Siri will remember where the car is parked.

Question from an Android user regarding AirTags: Why would someone else get a notification about the presence of an Air tag if the owner is there as well?
Shouldn't you only be notified if a tag is near you and the owner is away from it?

Just wish we had this two years ago before my bike got stolen :/

I was seriously considering buying an iPhone just for the air tags.

I always wondered.. if you got stolen smt with an airtag and the thief has an iPhone, don’t he gets the notification of an AirTag following .??

Samsung Galaxy Tags have been out years at this point. I've got two of them.

Doesn't the apple maps already show your car if you have connected your iPhone with Bluetooth? Why would then one an airtag?

By the way, if you are not wearing your watch, you can just tell HomePod to ping your phone

Hopeing this happens quick. Airtags are the only Apple product/service I use.
