I absolutely appreciate your method of teaching different reverb types by using them. I've seen a lot of tutorials but yours gives the best visual and audio demonstration of interchanging the effects while simultaneously explaining how it works. Very informative!

Reverb tricks like putting a compressor or a gate on the reverb and then sidchaining it to the dry vocal are good to know. It can either clear out space while the vocal is happening and fill in ambience the space in between (if you use a compressor) or it can make the vocal feel big without clouding the space in between lyrics (if you use a gate).

Reminds me of the "Your gonna have a bad time" guy from South Park. Very very awesome video.

I always learned to put certain delays based on what they were. Really short delay times to keep the mix clean and not having to many reverb tails washing over while the next part comes in. Example would be a really short delay on snares because of the hihats, and kick drums as well as toms. Short delays on vocals because of the space between the singing of words and ad libs and not overwashing background vocals. But it can be tricky especially when mixed with delays such as slap delays, or ping pong delays.

I can't stress this enough, ALWAYS roll off (EQ) the extreme lows on a reverb. I've had muddy sounding mixes because of the low end on a reverb. If the reverb doesn't have a built in EQ, put an EQ after the reverb on a mix bus. Reverb actually sounds best on vocals in the upper mids. I saw a video where someone just added reverb on the upper mids (leaving out the extreme highs) and it sounded amazing! I think they used a multi band compressor on just that one part of the reverb. Bottom line, though, is just eliminating the low end garbage on your reverb does wonders!

Fabulous video covering reverb. I don't exactly have a tip, but, one thing I did was download some impulses from a Bricasti M7 reverb to use with the ReaVerb that comes with Reaper, and it really sounds nice.

So better you need to do different pre-delay rverb setting on different instruments? but these rverbs could be with the same other settings just to be like in "the same space" ? Am I wrong, if i engage one rverb with same pre-delay to few instruments?
