Thank you! This was actually very helpful.

I figured the flicker was related to low light levels (it's definitely much worse in darker rooms), but this is a very clear set of instructions to work around this limitation.

for light flickering, you can go : Project settings, Rendering, Default Settings, Anti-Aliassing Method, and choose Temporal super-resolution (TSR), it work for me

This flickering issue is doing my head in. It reduces if I ramp up to 2 in final gather but it's still leaving my game prototype unplayable from a visual perspective. If I don't solve it soon I'll probably ditch Lumen. Some people don't seem to have this issue, even if they load the exact same project. Bizarre!

This saved me! Thanks! This happens because: Noise do more performance to lumen, without noise lumen will cost more perfomance.

Thank you, adding more light intensity and attenuation radius is the thing that is missing from other videos and inernet posts I saw. They all talk about final gather quality which did not solve the problem for me.

Yeah lumen just needs actual lights on those areas, but will affect performance especially if those lights are dynamjc and intersecting but maybe we can just disable shadows for those filler lights. But lowering the exposure compensation is a good tip. Thanks

I honestly can say I hate Epic for this shit. Love Unreal but Lumen is so poorly crafted when it comes to artifacts and bugs, and they do SO little in their own documentation that these problems need ridiculous half-asses workarounds.

The problem lays between the direct lighting and dynamic shadows (within them is the cause)

You can also lower the final gather speed in the post processing volume

Hope Epic can fix this automatically. Same for the horrible flickering of reflections (e.g. with Talos Principle 2)
