A more clear sign will be swollen and red nipples. The mamory glands will become stiff while the mother is producing milk. She may start to be more reclusive and like the video said, nest. She will usually pick her favourite room or spot and spend much time there. She may also choose the person that she trusts or likes most to stick close to for times where she needs help or comfort. I'm only fourteen, but I've always fostered, delivered, and rescued many pregnant and kittens.

I have to disagree with this video... one of the first signs that a cat has become pregnant is enlarged and very pink/red nipples at about 3 to 4 weeks into pregnancy... an enlarged abdomen will not be obvious until 6 to 7 weeks (depending on how many kittens there are)... leave feeling for kittens to a professional as you could cause problems... finally the pregnant mother cat will look for a place to have her babies, but this won't be obvious until a short time before they are born. Also cats can suffer from morning sickness which could be another indication.

I have a stray someone abandoned at my house (we live in the middle of nowhere so I know she didn't just walk here) I believe she is pregnant and this video has been extremely helpful!

My cousins cat has been acting strange since she left the house for a couple of days (my cousin let’s her out of the house to get fresh air) this happened before when the cat (Isabella) left and got lost, she returned home but after acting more sad, and more strange, she got 3 babies. Now she left the house, and came back acting weird. I’ll try checking for these signs and I hope she is pregnant, mainly because the last kittens actually got adopted.

I think that people with non medical background shouldn't try to feel a cat's stomach.They might cause annoyance to the pregnant kitty or hurt the kittens.The safest way to check if your cat is pregnant is to check if the areolas have expanded and nipples' size increased.Also the colour changes to pink.If you notice this then take your cat to the vet.
