Great review! I was fitted this summer and went with the T300s from Titleist - changed my game, but I know all of these are stellar irons as well! Thanks for the vids!

I got back into golf with the Wilson LP2 set, per your recommendation. I'd absolutely give them an honorable mention! Great video, as always

I love my G710 irons. I've been able to drop my handicap from 20 to near 15 just this summer. They have very little feel but that's the tradeoff for how unbelievably forgiving they are. I even got my first hole in one with them.

Mizuno state that the MP225 is for low to mid handicap golfers but as a 17 handicapper I can confirm that I hit my 225's out the middle more often than I have hit any club before. I think the smaller head concentrates the mind on finding the middle more easily than it does when you have a bigger headed club. As far as I am concerned, they are a lovely looking club, feel fantastic and have improved my game considerably. I hope to be sub 15 before the winter.

I’ve tried most irons from this year and last and I settled for the Srixon ZX5’s, they are amazing

Good video James. I wasn't sure my forge tec x's would make your list but I'm glad they did. Yes they were a bit pricey but worth it for me cause I've never been fitted and bought brand new irons before. Cheers

Got Takomo 201's because of you. Absolutely love the value out of them and the price allowed me to get something fitted for me

Just got my g710s in October (trying since July) went to lite shafts as I’m getting older … I have hit some beautiful shots with them and I think I ❤ them … since I’m in 🇨🇦 I may have played my last game until next season … can’t wait!!!

I am a high handicap player. I just got the Calaway Max ST OS irons. These clubs give the high handicap player all kinds of help, forgiveness and confidence. Highly recommend 👍.

They've been around awhile but the most overlooked game improvement irons might be the Cleveland UHX irons. I tried all the big brands and these were longer, at least for me, at about half the price. Had my eye on the Srixon ZX4s which I really liked the looks of, but UHX were about half a club longer in the 7 iron even though the Cleveland has 1.5 degrees weaker loft. Clevelands about a full club or more longer than my old Ping G25s. I know some people aren't crazy about the looks but I like them. The hollow body 4 iron is very long off the tee. Worth a look. PS-that Takomo set does look pretty cool.

Got my Takomo 101's this year and love them! I got fitted to Titleist T300's and used the specs to custom order my 101's. I'm getting 10-15 extra on yardage and hitting them straighter than straight for $489 delivered.

I guess my biggest question is what is a mid handicapper and what is a high handicapper. I've come back to golf after a significant time away from the geam and been having lessons for about 18 months and handicap is coming down from c21 to just over 17 but really aiming for 14-15 next year. I have 12yr old irons (Wilson FatShaft), which are in good nick and was setting myself the incentive of getting to 16 before I invest in a new set. I will definitely get irons fitted but will I be a mid handicapper or high handicapper so what bracket should I be focusing on ?
Thanks for the great video's James

lol. Just got fitted for some G710’s last night. Bought myself a 7 a few months ago just to test them out and I absolutely love it. Figured I should get fitted for the rest of the set if I’m gonna drop so much money on them. Gonna start getting lessons within the next few months too. The fact that they’ve been on the market for 2 years now and still haven’t gone on sale (while others like the G425 have) is crazy.

I knew it was a Ping from the outset, but I expected it to be the G425. So impressed that I bought the driver, hybrid and irons.

I have 2020 forged tec but I can't get away from wanting those mizuno pro 225s! They are just so good looking!

Really enjoy your videos. I've been looking at Tomoko however I didn't know they had tungsten in them which is a feature I do like in hollow body irons. I went to their website but couldn't see any specs that said they did have tungsten. Just curious.

PXG 0211 DC irons could be included in that group, for price, forgiving and looks. A further test would be to mishit toe and heel shots and see which club are the most forgiving.

Hi James, I am disappointed that the Srixon ZX4 didnt make your list - During my fitting, I must of tried just about every manufacturer and shaft combination. I did go into the fitting with the cobra's in mind. However, the ZX4's were far more consistent in both distance and direction, they really felt great when striking the ball. Even the bad shots were better. I have had them for 7 weeks now and already shaved 3 points off my handicap. Keep up the great work.

Feel like the Srixon ZX5 (or more suitably the ZX4) should be rated up there in terms of forgiveness and feel. Like a hot knife through butter and so consistent
