I appreciate you, Mikayla Hutchinson for participating in this demonstration. I typically become very nervous at the oddest of times. I learned something today and I look forward to watching more of your videos with Microsoft.

Great video and great news! Thanks Mikayla! Having switched over to Mac OS a little over a year ago, I'm excited. I actually rotate between VS Code, Visual Studio for Mac and JetBrains Rider. When I have to, I will run Visual Studio via Parallel's but prefer the native Mac environment.

I will give a second retry to this IDE. Previous version was not good and crank up my fan and My Mac book makes the sound like the airplane is taking up.

Extensibility is the next big frontier for Visual Studio for Mac as I see it. I've spent about a week hunting through MonoDevelop and XWT docs and code to start building some extensions for VS on the Mac, one of these I'm working on is a better image loader than MFractor for Xamarin Forms projects, another is data driven menus for a database I'm developing (similar to LiteDB but with a NewSQL approach) rather than command line tools for scaffolding code objects and CRUD menus from existing data. There are lots of opportunities to improve upon the documentation in that area and a minor bug I reported on GitHub to the MonoDevelop team. XAML preview extensibility is a must, things like being able to preview image resources embedded within a XAML Forms project, while debatable on whether or not it's good for production rather than image resources in native projects, goes a long way towards RAD prototyping, which I feel is getting lost a lot in modern development, having it all simplified for the end developer is key in market mainstay. There are lots of cross-commonalities in frameworks for which I feel that generalized solutions can exist within the space that give some freedom of choice while still applying organized standards and better IDE functionality.

You might test Xojo. It compiles perfectly for both Mac and PC.

spent the whole of last night getting 10.2 xcode running on my mac only to realise the latest release requires xcode 11!
beware any older mac users (my macs not even that old)

Why the Windows version doesn't looks like the Mac version, I mean the UI for Mac looks cleaner

Good Video I hope that I now not more to have install Windows on my Mac to work with Visual Studio. Because the functionality was so limited to the Windows version for the work for my company. I will test it today and use it from the beginning and love it to code with it on my Mac.

Why some files in the solution explorer are duplicated?

I see Version Control doesn't work in the new editor. Showing Diff's made me switch back. When do you plan on getting that working?

Its still miles away. Horrible refactor experience, doesn't see namespace changes, no support for custom nuget feeds, github issue tracker overflowing ( sad
