I really liked the new format, it was refreshing and it was great to meet the people behind the tools we (developers) use every day and the different areas around the Microsoft campus. As for the features, I personally liked the debugging features around searching from the watch window and the data debug breakpoints.

Looks like a very interesting release lots of Quality of Life Improvements and the production quality and the video was top notch. I loved the Windows Me moment :-D and Visual Studio 97. Lots of good (and bad) memories. Well Done MicroSoft and the VS Team !

I remember getting Visual Basic 2.0 as a trial on magazine coverdisk. Was a demo though, so I couldn't compile the games I wrote (I was very young).
