It's funny that the closest rival of Visual Studio Community is... Visual Studio Code.

I use VSCode now for nearly all my programming needs. It's just too good.

You should mention that RegEx gets built-in syntax highlighting.

It took me forever to get used to the start screen on 2017. Been using the beta of 2019 for just over a week and tbh I'm not a super fan of the start screen, especially if you navigate to it by accident. I have noticed that it does use less memory, though it does lag a bit more on older hardware which is a bummer. Hopefully these things will iron out over time, but being honest the only reason I can see to upgrade at the moment is for the new c# language variants support as some of the new stuff they are doing there is fire.

I've been stuck with VS2010 for a huge MVC project. Newer versions up to 2017 generate uncompilable code with 'Update Model from Database'. But I'll try VS2019, maybe they've finally fixed it.

data breakpoints sound great. no more temporarily encapsulating variables into properties

Hmmm.. how about two features I wanted?
1. Make it less sluggish, esp. with larger projects?
2. Make it less bloated, so that I don't have to download 3GB just to update it?

Let me guess, it all happened in reverse, hah?

I hope it makes Unreal 4 integration faster and intillisense workable for its macros.

I've submitted a feedback on how tall the title bar was compared to 2017 and it looks like they did not listen at all...we'll have a smaller viewport in 2019 😒 ... or just disable the ironic compact menu in settings...wait...no matter what you choose the title bar is still taller ... sigh...

Well, let's see if this version goes ahead to crash and freeze all the time like any other version before.

i found it quite annoying when using liveshare that every time someone wanted to start the program to see if it works it launched on my machine. and the best part: they couldn't see the gui themself -.-

No need to upgrade for C/C++ Developers.

They moved the "Windows" category to below "Web & Cloud" in the installer. Is this to make it alphabetical or is there a deeper meaning behind this move 🤔 We may never know.

Microsof deberia de enfocase mas en los cuadro de texto si es numero que sea numerico al igual que de text por que es muy tedios terner que validar tanto campo

İntellij is the best ide i have ever used and seen. Visual studio's only strong point is network colleague programming. Other than that intellij does everything better.

Yes! Improved launcher experience: because nobody expects a 64-bit version in 2019! 3.3GB RAM should be enough...
