We are under a storm of advertising. Buy buy buy, be happy if you buy this or that. I eschew the pitfalls and dangers of consumerism to the point of turning the t.v. off during ad breaks. It's a plague. Nice one George. 👌

It's not just stopping buying things. You need to stop watching their media, and not just the ads. Everything on TV is designed to make you compare yourself to others, become insecure and then try to fix it buy buying things you don't need and cannot honestly afford without going into debt.

I’ve never given a flying F about any of these things, Botox, beauty, all that BS. But I’m lucky enough to have been born before social media (1980s baby). I reckon it’s much harder to detach from this stuff when you’re raised on it.
