Another great vlog. A great gift idea is a food hamper. A friend was having a 60th, and rather than buying a hamper online, I bought all the food separately, then popped into Wilkinsons and got a plastic box /tray to display everything. It cost so much less, and i could include food/gifts that I knew she would love. Your ideas are great and I love that you are so honest with your less frugal ways! A vlog on downsizing and repurposing your clothes would help me...Im struggling with that one too!

WONDERFUL. I did a survey and apparently I am super frugal and a scrooge. I thought I was just

Regarding clothes you and your son aren't wearing... maybe see if there's a clothing bank somewhere in your area. See if you can make other clothing items out of items that are too worn or have holes or whatever. Any bits of clothing or leftover fabric too small to make clothing out of, consider using for family cloth, making menstrual pads, or hankies to use instead of tissues. Anything left after that see what you can use for rags and cleaning cloths. Anything left after that, my local primary has a fabric recycling bin for any type or size of fabric in any condition.

Great video Yvonne. I love clever girl finance. I got about 18/30. I definitely need to do more.

I think I really need to try out the gift giving idea and I agree a holiday shouldn't be frugal in that you don't spend money when you are there. As long as you budget and save your money, you should do so to have a nice relaxing holiday/vacation.

Great video I do a large amount of the things in this video. I down sized last year and it has cut my monthly outgoings by half. I paid my mortgage down prior to moving which allowed me to pay cash when I moved. Just wonder why you aren’t doing this with your mortgage. Would be interested to hear your reasons as this is a big tip from most frugal people.

23/30 frugal living has been part of my life for over 30 years. Far from "arriving". I agree that vacation or holiday should be budgeted and enjoyed.

We have a bookmobile that comes within 2 miles of my home. I can order books, movies etc and pick up at bookmobile every week. Great service!

I hate meal planning. The main reason is I may not want that food. I am trying to make more soups. I can make soups very nutritious for pennies. I always make a large amount and freeze in small 1 serving packages. I don't waste food. I have chickens and rabbits and dogs so nothing goes to waste. I have a lot of things I need to get rid of. I buy used cars and appliances but for clothes I really can't find things easily. I am difficult to size so wear a lot of house dresses that I have had for years. My goal now is to pay off debt. I live in a rural area cycling is not possible for me. Must have a car. I changed my car insurance this year. I saved $1100/year by bundling with my homeowners insurance.

Why did you stop cycling to work when you had your son?

Yeah, you need a separate room for your son at some point!

I also like thw gifting group as an option. That is such a good idea and so considerate that not everyone has the same budget.
