Started riding dirt bikes at 12. Didn’t get my first road bike until 2015. Riding on the roads with other vehicles is a different story. Especially if you live in a state where 99% of the roads are shot to hell with potholes, and 99% of the drivers are full retard.

First Bike = 2016 R6
Second Bike = 2020 Diavel 1260S
Third Bike = 2020 Ducati Panigale V4S Full Carbon
Fourth Bike = 2021 Aprilia RSV4 Factory
Fifth Bike = Waiting for V4 Diavel and NextGen Ducati

If you’re an addict, don’t get into motorcycles. Anything in life worth doing is worth OVERdoing.

There’s no “right cc” to start on. There’s no price range you need to start at. There’s no type of motorcycle you need to start at. It all depends on YOU. It all depends on your life, your lifestyle, your financial situation etc. Figure out what price range you can afford, and don’t forget to factor in maintenance, insurance, and also gear (helmet, jacket etc.). Next, what experience do you have? What level of rider are you? Did you grow up riding dirt bikes or have you never been on a motorcycle besides your license or safety course? Are you coordinated and have balance? Are you athletic? How’s your temperament? Aggressive? Passive? Can you control your emotions? How will you ride? Why will you ride? Daily rider or weekend ripper? Do you want to go to the track eventually? Can you afford to repair or replace your bike if you drop it or total it? Will you commute on it? Going to be doing any long distance? Highway riding? What’s the roads like where you’ll ride? What’s the weather like year round? Do you want to customize it? You need to do a personal inventory. Don’t listen to anyone else but yourself. Don’t listen to YouTube channels or fixate on getting something for clout. Figure out all these things, and then figure out what options you have as far as what fits all the things that matter. Have common sense. If you suck at riding, don’t get a 200+HP SuperBike. If you just want to cruise around slowly, and ride like a 80 year old dude from Wild Hogs, don’t get a 200+HP SuperBike. If you want to rip twisties, and want to go to the track eventually, don’t get a 900lb Cruiser. Do your research. Take your time. Make a good decision.

Shouldn't we start by knowing our weight and height and which bike will be good for us?

I don’t know why ppl are so obsessed with the cc of their bikes. They compare it with the car engine but it’s completely different animal dangerous and unnecessary for most prople who don’t take the bike to the pistes.
