Your german pronunciation is really good, especially your ä/ö/ü, st, sp, ch, sch, ... you sound nearly like a native speaker. I would love to hear you speak more german to know how you sound, then I could say if you sound like from the south (I'm kinda from the south). From what I know so far you sound like highgerman and to be honest, that's not the worst.
Funfact, if I would talk to you in germans (in my dialect) I think you would't understand much. I always thought our dialect would be easy to understand for other germans ... but we "swallow" many letters so it's not always easy to know what we mean.

Bavaria is well of and of course a hub of high tech companys and research facilitys, but it doesn't make up 1/3 of germany gdp on its own.

Bavaria was pawn state after ww2. It was a lot of (intelectual/money) immigration that set up Bavaria to become what it is now. The reunifacation was an enourmous booster when it comes to qualified workforce (which Bavaria didnt earn but did take anyway).

That Bavaria is one Third is not correct, its 18 % and ranks them Place 2. my home state Baden-Württemberg has 15% ranks place 3. North Rhine-Westphalia is rank 1 with 21%

Berlin is now no longer a drag on the average GDP btw. It's economy has been growing faster than any other Bundesland in the last decade or so. It also has become much more expensive.
