I'll add Amazon to that list also. Mainly Amazon Warehouse seller.
Got a used condition phone expecting some scratches/dents/marks but was almost in brand new condition.
Obviously everyone ain't gonna have the same luck.

Brought my Z5 in "excellent condition", and not in original box as listed apparently, for £200.
Luck would have it, it came in original box, with accessories untouched, and the phone literally hadn't left it's factory charge and was untouched condition.
Considering it was going for £400 brand new unlocked at the time, I got a truly amazing deal, I still don't live it down. MusicMagpie on eBay is a great seller to buy from if you're gonna get anything used, I've had my friend buy from them twice and the stuff has been quality, and I got this this phone as well off them.

I realise this sounds so pretentious but I used to work in CEX when I was a student, and it put me off buying used phones for good... lots of the near brand-new handsets you see in the shop window were previously owned by an idiot that couldn't afford the payments. And I don't want to own a phone that was previously in the hands of an idiot. If they don't have the capacity to assess whether they can afford a new phone or not, then I just assume they can't be trusted in other areas either, like taking care of an expensive item

I advise to buy the clean used to save money like i do
Now i have s7 edge for 200$

What about open box phones listed on eBay? How can you really tell they are open boxed and not just a used phone kept in a case to look new?

I bought a used iphone 7 gold 128gb for 280€ and it was flawless
5hrs+ hours battery life a day and trust me, im a phone gamer, I game all day

From experience got a locked 128gbused iphone 6 for 210$ was supposed to be unlocked but found a sticker saying at&t so i called them to unlock it and they didnt charge me and im from canada

I found an used S9 Plus from a private seller on eBay. From the photos, there aren't any scratches. Price is 320$. Is it worth it or should I just buy a new Galaxy A51 with lower specs?

If you're in Canada, Locked phones are not a thing anymore by law. If you do get an older, locked phone though, you can call the carrier to have them unlock it for free by new law. :)

That's a good video. I don't necessarily agree with buying the highest specs though. I used to think that too, but I changed my mind. Phones get old, if you're someone who keeps loads of photos, videos and files on their phone because they need it (not because they just can't be bothered to move/delete them) or you expect to be keeping your phone for years till it breaks then sure, but other than that you're most likely gonna replace the phone within the next 2 years anyway and if you're an average user, you're most likely not gonna use up all the extra memory that you're paying heavy money for, so I'd say unless you know you need it, don't invest in memory.

I would also add Swappa. Granted, I have more experience as a seller than as a buyer, but I have not experienced any issues on the site.

CEX Is also a good place to buy phones from in my experience, they're cheaper there than anywhere else I have looked
