The director willingly chose not to put Gary’s name in the beginning of the film so no one would guess who his character was until the very end when the credits rolled again. Let that sink in

Gosh, we’ve sure gotten ‘older’ over the years, Gary & I ! He looked pretty young in that clip.., I guess I’ve loved Gary Oldman a longgg time!! I remember how dang good he was in Sid & Nancy - he was transformed into Sid Vicious!! No matter ho annoying the girl playing Nancy sounded during the film, you kept your eye on Gary as Sid cuz he was mesmerizing & enthralling!! He deserved an award for that role alone!
