What’s funny is when I was looking to buy a study Bible I would go to Barnes and Noble and compare their notes on specific verses to see which ones I liked better. Like one verse there was a study Bible that picked one view without mentioning other views and another study Bible that mentioned all four views so I could at least decide for myself or at least be aware of alternate views of how to explain the passage. Also if you want your study Bible to last longer try to get a smyth sewn binding. It’ll be more expensive but it will last longer because the ones that aren’t smyth sewn are glued only and with heavy usage the pages start falling out.

Personally the two types of bibles I don’t think I will ever buy for my collection are journaling bibles and study bibles. I don’t write in my bibles and I don’t think anyone really should as it clogged up the rest of your handwriting is fairly large like mine. With study bibles, I can’t stand having notes in literally every single verse in my Bible. I got a life application study Bible WAY TOO MANY NOTES. no joke the notes for Ezra 2:1, is literally over a page and a half. For me, my study bible is absolutely useless and would be for someone who may have dyslexia or ADD.
