About: Satisfactory

Satisfactory is a first-person open-world factory building game with a dash of exploration and combat. Pioneering for FICSIT Incorporated means charting and exploiting an alien planet, battling alien lifeforms, creating multi-story factories, entering conveyor belt heaven, automating vehicles, and researching new technologies.
This Factorio like game has heavy automation, with automated mining, crafting, and you can even automate movement!

What would you like me to setup in the next Efficient layouts guide?

Really nice and very clear - colour coding definitely helps.

For me, I'm getting far enough along that I'm interested in how you start organising things once the complexity reaches the final tiers - making cooling systems for example. I try to stay organised but eventually I just end up with dozens of conveyors crossing over the entire map!

0:10 "It's the START of where things BEGIN do get complicated in Satisfactory." This game is great

The color coding is definitely helpful. I think a little bit you could add to help it is note the color associated with the product on your signs. So like (Pink) 9 Iron Plate or something.

Been playing for a couple weeks now... I had no idea you can color code your splitters/mergers... and other machinery. Edit: and I want to add, it is SUPER userful!

The color coding was a lifesaver, thank you

Love your videos, thanks to you I started work on my first kilofactory

Really love the method of color coding that you've done as well as showing the set ups with multiple recipes!

"Casted iron screws is really easy to get early game" says you, I've put HD after HD into the M.A.M. and gotten bupkiss. Anyway: Color coding = Good!

Love the videos. Helped me learn a lot about the game and develop building skills. Quick input on what I have done with my modular frames. I have no idea if it is as energy efficient but :

1xCopper Miner - 120/min => 4x Smelter - 120 bar/min => 8xConstructor - 240 wire/min
1xIron Miner Over on pure to make 480/min split between => 180 to Smelters and 300 to Foundry
6xSmelter - 180 iron bar/min to make plates on 6xConstructor - 120 plates/min
4xFoundry overclocked to make 75/min => 10xConstructors for 200 piper/min
1xCoal Miner overclocked to 300/min
We get 6xAssembler overclocked to make 6/min with (Stitched Iron Plate "ALT") uses 40wire/min+20plates/min = 36 Reinforced Iron Plate/min
Finally 18xAssembler with (Steeled Frame "ALT") - 2 Plates/min + 10 Piper/min to make a dashing number of 54 Frames/min with 20 pipes going to the trash

Unfortunately it uses the Alternative recipes but if my math is correct that is the most efficient output I figured out for the cost of the materials

I started playing this a long time ago not knowing what I was going, came back to a complete mess and learned so much, I never even layed down a MAMS. I finally built a 24 coal power plant and and going to completely rip everything else down and restart my beginning factory because it's a complete maze.
Watching all these videos has helped but I think it would be nice to get some more basic breakdown videos. Explaining the basics of the game.

Love the color coding you did. Instead of a flat layout like that, I went vertical. Still an undertaking and mistakes can happen easily. Forgot to belt some of my Iron plate constructors lol.

Colour coding is almost always helpful, I know in some of the later tiers this gets harder to maintain, but it goes a looong way for the audience.

You should mention that you have to go looking for hard drives as early as possible. As you progress through the milestones your "pool" of possible recipes increases and therefor chances for certain recipes decreases. If you do want them as easy as possible one should make a run for the hard drives even before you unlock T2 (Rotors, Stators, Caterium, Quartz etc.)

I like the color coding, but it might be even better if you color the foudations also like you did with the blue foundations in the bolted frames 🙂

when doing the last steeled frame recipe, you are still using the standard recipe for reinforced iron plates. Why not use the stitched iron plates recipe and eliminate screws totally?

Nice setup. I am currently using the refineries to process all of my ores from recipes that I found. Have you though about doing layouts using those?

How much does the Steeled Frame recipe improve when you introduce Solid Steel, Iron Wire, and Stitched Plated into the mix?
