Can I just say how much I love this channel? I use it for three things mainly: 1) Learn or at least hear what I've already learned from a unique perspective 2) Fall asleep and 3) Wonder in awe of it all. I do 1 and 3 together when I first watch it. Then I get an old video and do 2 and 3 together. Some people get the existential creeps from cosmology. It only makes me feel more centered and serene. Thanks for the amazing videos :)

1:52 If anyone else wondering why you need only 1 number to describe angular momentum of a black hole:
This is because black hole is axially symmetric and the fact that we only describe black hole, not its position in space.

What I like about science most is, that the formulas and math can describe something we never knew would exist, then test if it does and finally find and prove it. Amazing how old the idea of a black hole actually was. And amazing that these objects actually exist out there.
