Im not going to lie, overlaying the gruesome body horror with pictures of kittens was absolutely hilarious and im not entirely sure why

The scariest thing is that it really sound like it's a mental health issue until the end. I would even theorize that the infestation is causing hallucinations rather than some magical half-invisible bugs being 100% of the things described by the victim.

As a child in the 80s and 90s with severe eczema, living in a roach infested 2 bedroom house with 5 siblings; this SCP hit home with the deep itching. Peeling off your clothes daily because of the puss and blood is exhausting, the feeling of bugs crawling on you constantly is the best way to explain how it feels.

Being a mental health practitioner made this one a whole new level of disturbing. I work with chronically suicidal youth, and losing a client is my greatest fear, especially to psychosis as I've lost a friend to it before. I know that wasn't necessarily the case here but its close enough to make my skin crawl

A dark story to experience, but his delivery on "The dreaded pls respond" made me chuckle.

I just imagine the Serpent's hand looking at the foundation and going "THIS IS EXACTLY WHY ANOMALIES SHOULD BE PUBLIC INFORMATION!"

Aside from where the bugs actually came from, I would think it would be obvious. The bugs sensing that their host didn't have much time left began migrating to the new host during their sessions and once they had established a large enough presence, continued their gruesome life in the poor therapist. This would've made a great Outer Limits episode back in the day though as this seems something right up their ally. :D

Usually I primarily listen to these videos.

Imagine my surprise when I look back and see kittens. Thank you TES for the comforting vibe during trying segments.

As a guy who lives with mental illness, I appreciate your warning before the article started. It adds a little humanity into something that can be all too inhuman and sometimes, in the case of the SCPF, literally inhuman.

As someone with atopic dermatitis this story really gets across the discomfort and distress chronic eczema and assumedly any other chronic illness gives someone, albeit highly exaggerated to fit the horror of the SCP universe, it certainly feels like that when it is at its worse. Having your skin seep and bleed from scratching so much, trying anything to relieve the irritation in the moment, the desperation at doctors to find a cure to get out of the pain and the mental anguish it puts you through, it's all here in this story. It is an unfair affliction that you can be born with from the beginning through no fault of your own and one that has caused me to think many times "why me?" but it is what it is; unfair

I remember in the late 90's/early 00's seeing a TV segment about a kid who felt like he had bugs crawling all over him basically since birth. The part that always stuck with me is that he pulled out all of his teeth as a baby/toddler. The story was about how his family finally found a treatment that was helping. I hope he's doing okay.

What makes this so horrifying is that there really is a mental health issue where people believe they have insects or some kind of parasite living under their skin. They can't see them but they do feel them...and it's very difficult to convince the sufferer that there isn't anything there, that it's the nerve endings in the skin that's causing the symptoms, for whatever reason.

To feel alone when you’re dealing with a situation or agony that no one can understand or help with is tragic enough, but feeling like such a curse exists just to torment you until you perish is straight up cruel and evil. Sometimes it does feel like some oddities exist… just to make the world suffer.

This is the first video from this channel that I remember having a disclaimer in it. It earned it. It very much earned it.

While not invisible, there legit are worms and insects that lay their larva inside people's eyes and skin like this. The concept of Water Blindness is to do with a type of fly that lays its eggs in a person's eyes, which then hatch and eat the eye from the inside while the victim gradually loses their sight and can see the little shapes squirming around.

Doesn't have to be an SCP to be the worst this ever.

I know this was exhausting to prepare all of these SCP’s, but we really appreciate your work. This daily series is is fucking awesome.

This is the first article in a while to properly freak me out, kinda like how anomalies like the shy guy did when I first started listening to these. I have a bit of a bug phobia and I’m not super keen on the articles that end on non-happy/freaky endings but hey I guess getting spooked is what spooky month is all about! Although I probably shouldn’t have watched this so late at night 😵‍💫

Kittens to offset tough moments in narrative is genius

As someone with mental insanities It can be difficult to get a barring on reality when I don't have an anchor point like science or the laws of the universe. Some times my PTSD turns into Delusions and Hallucinations if left unchecked for a while. This could be as simple as not getting distracted when I start getting auditory flashbacks. If those start happening in a quite room and I don't play something to ground myself it can turn into a hallucination. So having my PTSD schizophrenia enhanced by anomalies would be a new kind of hell. Already slipped into schizo a few times and got out, not sure how I'd fair with anomalous PTSD schizo.
