The 'High Performance' texture filtering setting will actually noticeably degrade filtering by quite a bit (makes textures look more blurry and mushy at a distance) and saves virtually no performance on modern graphics cards. Highly recommend setting it to 'High Quality' as well as setting anisotropic filtering to 16x and forgetting about it as they're basically free visual enhancements to any game that acknowledges your driver settings.

but i wonder if you are refering to microstutters as something that only happpens in games, my problem is that my computer completly freezes for .3 seconds and (cuz im ussually listetin to music or playing a videogame i can hear a sound, somethin like before a bsod, this happens editing text on the notepad, watching videos, playing the heavies videogames, this happens randomly, it can be from 10 to 20 minutes and 5 to 10 hours later another microstutter, but it completly freezes my whole pc, i dont know if you issue is like mine, i think is not, i think you have some 3dgraphics issues in games, something i do not have because i always run all games in mid to low settings: my hardware: evga nvidia 1060 3gb, ryzen 2600, hyperx2666mhz, kingston a400 sdd, wd blue hdd 2 tb, and the suspicious asus tuf b350 gaming motherboard, ive started to thing is the motherboard and is vrams becuase my pus is an evga supernova 750 watts 80+gold

In the Nvidia driver release notes it states that stuttering will occur if there's any frame monitoring software running in the background. (this helped a bit).
I run Elite VR through Steam, after disabling all of Steam's invasive background telemetry for every goddamed thing under the sun I gained smoothness in VR.

I recommend the same thing as you have here, EXCEPT please change your "preferred refresh rate" to maximum globally. In addition, even more importantly... set your "Maximum pre-rendered frames" to "1". This minimzes input lag, and allows the best competitive performance for gaming.

Then for the "Antialiasing - Transparency" I set that to "Multisampling". Another thing I would recommend not shown in this video, is to set "Anisotropic Filtering" to "16x" forced globally, as most games have poor implementations of this. The "clamp" option you have selected for "Negative LOD Bias" works in conjunction with a high level of Anisotropic Filtering, for maximum quality and overall consistency of textures throughout the screen regardless of their position in space compared to your character.

I personally also tend to make sure in-game my "Antialiasing settings" are set to "none" or whatever is zero for any and all games I play... and then I go into the Nvidia Control Panel, which is what you used in the video, and set my "Antialiasing - Mode" to "Override any application setting" and set "Antialiasing - Setting" to "8x".
For me personally this provides the best overall quality, without a notable decrease in performance, as I can keep my FPS in-game above the refresh rate of my monitor (which is 240hz).

I also like to play in-game with a 1024x768 resolution, but my monitor is natively 1920x1080. I leave my monitor to that default 1920x1080 resolution, but make sure to go down to the "Adjust desktop size and position" tab in the Nvidia Control Panel, and set it to "Full Screen" with "Perform Scaling on" set to "GPU", and lastly make sure to check the box which is labelled "Override the scaling mode set by games and programs".

For all Windows, there is a "Mouse Fix" that has been around for years, that is trusted by the gaming community. This fix helps to remove what is known as "Mouse Acceleration" from Windows, and while it mainly impacts older games or applications... there is absolutely no harm in using it just to make sure, and allows peace of mind:

If you use Windows 10 and play games, you should definitely read the links below to further optimize Windows 10 as much as possible... sadly, the OS is absolutely terrible for gaming in general. Even with these fixes, and many hours spent trying to optimize my system, I am unable to match the peformance I would get on the same computer with Windows 7 or Windows XP in-game. These fixes did help me raise my FPS a lot, and drastically reduce input lag, at least:

If you want to get more in-depth with customizing your graphic settings, beyond what the Nvidia Control Panel allows you to do normally (although this is not illegal, illicit, nor anything that will ever get you banned from games for using) check out this program named "Nvidia Inspector":
