Peach Jam (without preservatives)

Making homemade jam is super easy and delicious. It requires just a few ingredients. In my family, no one likes to eat a peach. But, after I made a jam out of it, it became a favorite with everyone in my family. It's very easy to make and doesn't need any preservatives. Perfect for kids and grownups. I am sharing my tried and tasted jam recipe which is perfect for summer.
Ingredients
Peaches- 5 ( 1 cup pureed)
Sugar- ( 1 cup)
Half lime juice
Method
Wash and peel the peaches. Cut it into small pieces and remove the seeds.
Now keep one peach aside and make a puree of the remaining peaches.
Pour the puree into a bowl. Now take the same amount of sugar in another bowl. Always remember the ratio is 1:1
Now finely chop the peach that was kept separately into very small cubes. Keep it aside.
Take a saucepan and add the pureed peach and the sugar and place it over a stove on medium heat.
Let the sugar melt and cook it for 5 minutes on a medium flame.
When it starts bubbling, add lime juice and stir it well.
After 5 minutes of cooking, add the chopped peach in it and mix it well. Cook it for another 5 minutes.
When it starts to thicken, remove the froth formed on the top.
After few minutes it will turn shiny with a thick consistency.
Switch off the gas and let it rest for 5 minutes. Now pour the jam into a sterilized jar and let it cool.
Let it stand at room temperature for a few hours, then close the lid and refrigerate it. You can store it for 3-4 weeks in the refrigerator.
Relish this yummy jam with your favorite bread.
