Awesome advice! I will apply my teaching statement. Until you mentioned diversity, I hadn't realized that I taught migrant students from Syria. Sometimes we forget the efforts that we put in and the experience since it is considered like a default. Thank you very much Prof. Rilling!

I will start my initial screening interview for a faculty job tomorrow. This is my first application and also the first interview. Cheat sheets are stuck everywhere around my screen.😂

Need suggestion on submitting an online application for teaching position at university. I filled this information as part of application questionnaire but did not find any information to upload teaching statement document. Online application only had option to upload cv, cover letter, list of publications and supporting documents. Please advice.

In a year from now, I am leaving academia and my postdoc position by any means necessary, even to scrub toilettes, because teaching is not what universities focus on nowadays. As a result, universities are full of puffed-up, selfish, ego driver people which have poisoned many young minds and deterred them from pursuing their passion for teaching and bringing up new classes of students, which is what happened to me.
