If you ask me Empire should have just get rid of slavery and replace it with Machinery instead. Because machines would more likely do 10 times to work then enslaved aliens or humans Plus they're less chances of slave rebellions.

Very interesting. The Empire also disguised slavery as a way of getting a free labor force for special Imperial projects like the Death Star which used both Geonosians and Wookiees as workers.

This move literally make no sense. In a galactic civilization there would be no point to slavery. They should have fully mechanized and automated technology at this point. What use is slaver when a robot could do it much faster and cheaper. A slave would willingly try to get out of their work if they could. They even have space shipyards in Star Wars. This just makes the empire evil for the sake of being evil. What they should have done was portray the empire as evil by having more of the emphasis on empire’s general repression of its subjects.
