No matter what happens along our journey, no matter if we get injured, no matter if we have a setback, it’s always important to remember that failure is just a bend in the road, it’s not the end of the road.

Video brought back raw emotions and memories from that Olympics. What's amazing to me is his father waiving off the officials as they attempt to remove him from the track. He's not going anywhere before he and his son finish together. How deep is a father's love for his children? Great timing in the wake of Father's Day here in the USA.

Feeling sorry for myself all day long today, this video brought me back to reality. What a beautiful testament to the human spirit, to keep pushing forward in the face of insurmountable obstacles. I have only myself and my thoughts of which to overcome. I choose peace. Thanks for posting😢😢

Amazing, inspirational . . .we will always find our Father next to us if we don't quit the race.

This is powerful! The moment when his dad was his hero; he protected & supported him in the most beautiful moment. It's not necessarily about winning but finishing! ✊🏽❤

LOL dad told that official "GET OUTTA HERE! THIS IS MY SON!" That was his proud creation and he wanted the world to know it. That guy got his butt away and left them alone, too. ☺ Sometimes you have to let protocol go and bask in the reality of life.

There you go, not a quitter! John Stephen Akwhari from Tanzania is a runner you should look up too.
