Teams is such a user-unfriendly app.

This worked for me: Settings > Apps > Startup. Then uncheck Teams

The video is helpful to some extent. Now everytime I open my laptop and the notification popsup and keeps loading, in the task manager I click *end process* in the performance menu on Microsoft Team processing. Still searching for permanent solutions.

What a crap piece of software, it is slow, it keeps starting even if you check the checkbox at the beginning, it doesn't show its options unless you login, etc. Microsoft will always trail behind Google for this kind of crap.

That checkbox is not available. Teams is not available to disable in Task Manager. Thumbs down. This is not the right solution.
