Thank you for the review. I have only purchased one Camillus knife so far but after purchasing the 2" blade flipper (Neon Green) almost 2 years ago for $13 from Walmart I believe Camillus has some pretty good quality knives at an affordable price. I use that little green knife often and have had zero issues with it. I had thought about getting the Spyderco Para 2 but the almost $200 price tag deterred me. Spyderco is mostly American made but at almost $200 bucks for a knife, sorry not gonna happen. The Spyderco Tenacious is a pretty cool knife, I think, but it is made in China.Yes, most of the higher quality knives have better quality steel and materials but you can buy a decent quality knife at a reasonable price with D2 steel or other lower end steels. The heat treatment on a knife is just as important as the steel itself. A high quality steel, if it has a poor heat treatment will make the knife pretty much worthless, on the other hand they can use a lower end quality steel with a good heat treatment and make it comparable to a high end quality blade.
