I've had a few debates since joining the discussions as an Australian hoping an outside perspective will help even 1 trumper see the light. Since they have no empathy for immigrants I pointed out what they thought might happen to industries that rely a lot on immigrants if Trump succeeds in mass deportation. I asked trumpets who would fill those massive voids left in those industries that don't have enough workers. One person said, "Use poor American black people so they can get the employers to increase wages", others said, "Americans will have more jobs and wages will go up". I pointed out why these jobs were filled by immigrants and not natural Americans. I even had a guy claim my own country was worse to immigrants because he read a news article claiming the Australian government threw immigrants into internment-type camps, I asked for the link, but he stopped responding. In Australia, we call them asylum seekers or refugees, not immigrants and our system is far from perfect but, my government tries hard to help many of them find a home here, food housing, education, employment, healthcare, legal aid, etc. There are benefits to having immigrants but Americans only see them taking things from them.

I've never seen more spineless people in my life. I've always taught my boys to stand for what is right, even when you feel it's unpopular. Stand against bullies, be kind, don't ignore that gut feeling, and don't be a follower. These people make me sick. Unfortunately, the good leaders' voices are being drowned out by the crazy, spineless hypocrites.
