"It's impossible to fill a mind with knowledge when it's already full of shit."
I'm saving that quote for future reference.

"the first case of artificial ignorance"
😂 Brilliant.

*Religious organizations* like "Genesis Apologetics" only teach you *what* to think and not *how* to think. There is a huge difference.

I was homeschooled and raised in young earth creationism... I had to completely reeducate myself as an adult. It's awesome that you are helping people similar to myself learn and see the truth.

YABBA DABBA DOO!!! When that popped up I haven’t laughed so hard in a long time. Thank you for that I needed it. The timing for that was perfect.

I was never a creationist but I truly wish I had a science teacher as good as you are.

Can't wait for Aron to take on the final boss of this damning apologetics organization, and I seriously thank you so much for making me challenge my faith and fully understand reality the way it really is. Here's to the factual pursuit of truth that Aron is in charge of, and I'm right behind you! :3

Seconds in and I’m already laughing my ass off. I love the intro. 😂
Aron, I wanted to say thanks for helping me go from an agnostic to an atheist. I’ve been following your work for years. I’m very appreciative for what you do.✌🏾✊🏾

I was raised as a pentecostal Christian.
I lost my faith in my late 20s to early 30s.
I remember when the church had a seminar on speaking in tongues. They said that while doing it, the devil would whisper in your ear, saying you were faking it. But I was faking it. I knew in my heart that I was faking. I wanted to belong. I wanted to be accepted. But God ignored me, seemingly in favor of others.
The more time passed, the less i cared about being accepted by the church.
Then I found Aron ra. And his arguments made sense.
In some ways, I still hope the lies I was taught are true, simply because I spent a significant portion of my life believing them. On the other hand, I want to know true things. As Aron has said in the past, only true facts have real world applications.

I love the part at the L.A. County Natural History Museum. Spent a lot of my childhood there. I don't know if they still have it on display, but in the lobby they have a complete fossil of a Pleistocene whale. That fossil was from a dig I got to visit as a kid, back then (hate to say it, I'm about a year or 2 older than the Ra Man) paleontology was just starting to take off, and to have a large dig just a few blocks from my elementary school. All us kids rode our bikes up there to watch the paleontologist work. I must admit I really never heard of creationism until I got to college and I immediately rejected it, thinking it was complete nonsense.

Apologetics is inherently dishonest. Apologists do not start from where the facts are; no, they start with their desired conclusion and try to cobble together whatever 'evidence' and arguments they can find to construct a rickety path to that position. Thankfully, they always inevitably fail.

I love all of your Genesis Apologetics series. Always look forward to it.
*Hope you keep it up as long as they do.*

I've always notice in these videos made by creationists they never bother to provide any actual evidence for creationism. For some reason they think their idea is somehow the default position despite the fact that there are theists from multiple religions (including all of the Abrahamic ones, which they never willing admit) who accept evolution and that there are other religions should make it painfully obivious that they don't have the default position. Not to mention that trying to misrepresent and/or poke holes in evolution does not bring them one step closer to proving creationism. I have never once heard or seen any creationists do anything more than use outdated arguements that have been refuted countless times. Anyone with common sense can tell that it is not possible to be both a creationist and honest.

I literally howled in laughter at one point during this opening. Your graphics do a lovely job of matching your tone.

Aron your tireless work on Brandolini’s law is truly incredible. Keep up the good work 👍👍👍

Brandolini’s law (also called the bullshit asymmetry principle), is the adage that “the amount of energy needed to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude bigger than needed to produce it”. This denotes that it’s generally much easier to say something without concern for things such as the truth, evidence, or logic, than it is to prove that what was said is wrong.

I grew up in a small town in west Texas and as a kid I could walk out up onto a mesa and find fossils (Permian Basin) after being told in church that they didn't exist or were put there to deceive. I gave up the church by 12 years old and went on to study science and never looked back even when being surrounded by yaabaa daabaa dipshits who tried to convince me of the supernatural. I subscribed to your channel because I see it as putting a light on the ridiculousness of religion and I hope this spotlight prevents it's ideas from further spread. TY Aron!

I've always loved the example of convergent evolution that the student gave regarding Emerald tree boas and green tree pythons. Not only is their appearance/morphology very similar(long, slender bodies, similar patterns, very long teeth(especially in the front, almost like a goblin or grey nurse shark), massive labial heat pits, similar head shapes, etc.), but as the student mentioned, even their ontogeny is mirrored, with both species starting out bright yellow, maroon, red, orange, with a much more dramatic pattern, and slowly changing to their adult green(and some white, yellows, and blues.) Not to mention their extremely similar behavior, niches, diet, etc.
