Theres actually a huge explosions of spoilers, and frankly its annoying. As much as I want to talk to my friends about it either, I find the COURTESY to stop myself out of respect. I dont understand how people don't get how spoilers can LITERALLY ruin a story experience.

It's just common sense, but I see people lack this basic understanding.

There also seem to be a lot of spoilers on YouTube in general too, you'll just enter the site only to see part of a cutscene with a title practically telling what happens and having to constantly "Don't recommend channel" yet somehow new channels keep popping up doing the exact same thing.

The reason why people want to "spoil" is because they want bragging rights. They want to flex that they know what is going to happen, and others don't. IMO you should deal with them harshly. You are too kind.

I didn't have time to play the quest until the weekend and avoiding spoilers was so hard. Even video thumbnails alone, people just put whatever they please in them and completely ignore that others may not have played it. With that said, I had a blast playing the quest yesterday.

this needed to be said, so thanks for saying it. Everyone says 'just don't read', or 'they didn't spoil anything', but in reality with basic common sense we understand hinting. And it's almost impossible to control reading something when you scroll onto it. The only thing I find acceptable is to put spoiler warnings, and have to actively click show more to read posts.

In term of Lore discussion, people will use any information In game no matter if you already consume it or not. Its hard to evade spoiler in lore kind of discussion :'(

I think a lot of people who are guilty of pseudo-spoiling aren't aware that their comments are spoilers. Most of the time, these comments are what I'd describe as 'wink-wink nudge-nudge' comments. A good example of this was earlier in Island's 4.2 stream, where...

Ah I feels you.. Spoiler is sucks especially leaks. Imagine when you're waiting for almost a year just for a major quest to drop, just for others to spoiled it.

for me, i just hate that there is some people that already do the quest and watch streamer doing it, the exact moment good stuff gonna happen they just like "here we go" etc, like cmon bro 💀

In my opinion, you could put the chat in "emote only mode" when there is a quest.

This had to be said and not only for the spoilers of whats about to happen in the main story but also for the leaks that goes around of the overall story/lore, characters or weapons.

It is exciting and sure you would like to share them with others but not all people including myself who wants to experience stuff before hand likes to be spoiled or leaked.

So please be mindfull and don't ruin it for others.

What I find funny is that I've watched tons of Chinese and Japanese streamers play the AQ and there's almost no spoilers. Even when they have no mods watching the chat. People do hype it up (stuff like "Here it comes!" or "Let's go let's go!"), but those are understandable and generally spoiler-free. Yet, once you go into the English streams people can't wait to drop spoilers. Is it a difference in culture? Or maybe most of the viewers on the EN side are just younger and/or immature?

People, repeat with me. Spoiling people will not get you the attention you need, you'll only be seen as an immature person. Maybe you see it as "funny" but it is not and you are ruining other people's experiences.

Please stop spoiling, I know some may be desperate to see how people will react when they get to a specific scene, but telling what will happen only ruins that.

All in all, im glad you got through the whole Archon Quest spoiler-free. It was a rough up and down with the spoilers during your livestream, and I do see that you got pissed by the spoilers at some parts. You did the best course by implementing the members only mode to make sure that you get the most out of your experience. Discussions can still take place after the climax of the story has come to pass

If i may suggest an idea regarding lore discussion - put up a small text box on your screen during livestreams to let people joining in know which recent quests you have/have not done, and therefore what information they can/cannot bring up. Might help with accidental spoilers.
