A week ago, here in Belgium, a body was found in a backyard. After 30 years they found a missing woman. The ex-husband is arrested. Case is still on going.

Imagine having to go through life explaining to everyone important to you that your father killed your mother. I can't grasp how people can have zero empathy or consideration. Alcohol is a terrible drug. I was a raging alcoholic for decades, trying anything and everything to escape its clutches.
I remember sitting alone in my truck at the forest preserve, desperately wanting to just throw the bottle into the woods and just walk away, but completely powerless to do so. It literally almost killed me, and after giving myself pneumonia from aspirating my vomit and having my esophagus swell shut from the stomach acids, I laid in bed for 3 days waiting to die. It was a dark, dark time for me and my wife. Miraculously, when I recovered, I no longer had any desire to drink and still haven't 4 years later, despite dealing with some very intense stuff in the interim.
My thoughts and prayers to anyone struggling with any addiction out there. It controls you 100 percent and the feeling of powerlessness is overwhelming. I got lucky. Most don't. Take care of yourself, everyone. Not for anyone else. It doesn't work that way. You have to do it for you. Peace.

"Pride goeth before the fall." The more you brag, the more you're caught out.
The detective work was beyond commendable. Would've loved to see the shock on Darren's face upon realizing the set-up.

Hello Adrian. Humanizing the victims and survivors, including words of inspiring/motivation, and information for assistance: sets your channel apart from the rest. Thank you for giving these souls and their stories the *dignity and compassion* they deserve. ♥

His mugshot looks like that’s the exact moment he realized who recorded his confession

I just celebrated yesterday (5/1/24) seven years freed from alcohol addiction ☺️

I’m still mending the relationships with family and friends who I once turned away through the addiction that gripped me for years after escaping the monster who set it in motion, but which I finally triumphed over with the strength only a supernatural force could provide.

I’m grateful for one good thing that came out of the OJ Simpson trial back in the 1990s, and that was how it gave me the strength and courage to flee from a very similar type of person who could very easily have shifted from sociopath to psychopath and end me, but I fled before possibly becoming another case on channels like yours.

I’m so sad for this young lady who was never given the chance to fully break her chains of addiction as I did and go on to live a better life 😢

May her loved ones find peace in her personal monster’s capture and imprisonment.

✌🏼💖🖖🏼

Yikes, imagine being someone who was working in that kitchen and realising you might have spent a decade using a murder weapon in your day to day life.

I met Claire when I was very young and was best friends with her son. She was such a lovely women! It’s absolutely heartbreaking what happened. After so many years wondering what happened I’m glad justice is now served. Rest in peace Claire forever in my thoughts🤍

Thank you so much for saying that for the people with substance abuse. I am 9 years sober, and even and after my addiction I was looked like the scum of the earth. It's so sad, because I know how much work and rewarding it can be to go down the recovery road and she was only at the beginning of the journey of a brand new life. I so hope that she might be in somewhat of a peacefulness and not having to battle the disease everyday and the abuse that he did and the abuse of words that can be so harsh to early sobriety. Makes you feel human when somebody speaks to you or for you that you are a person and deserve so much more. ❤

There's not much left of his confession after all the swearing was beeped out.

I appreciate how you give backstories to the victim and perpetrator.

While murder is not justified, it helps people understand what leads to these atrocities.

The undercover operation was pretty clever. They knew that he would believe anyone and anything. It's absolutely horrible what he did to Claire right when she was starting to get her life together. I'm glad to know that he finally got what was coming to him, and he will never see the light of day again but wake up in a cell every day as he deserves. I only hope he will tell the family where her remains are so they can put her to rest and have a funeral for her.
