- I don’t believe anyone is 100% off limits. I don’t believe that’s the case. I know the Knicks do not want to trade RJ Barrett. Certainly the idea is to bring Donovan Mitchell in and have RJ Barrett and Jalen Brunson to compete for a playoff spot. The idea would not be to send RJ Barrett out and bring Donovan Mitchell in. Depending on who you ask and who is in that group kind of pushing at the end of this thing there will be people with the Knicks that say ‘Hey, we need Donovan and if it takes RJ to do it so be it. I don’t think though that would be the consensus and I would be surprised if that was ultimately the case. But when you ask me if RJ Barrett is off limits I don’t think any player is off limits in this kind of deal.

Brian Windhorst on Donovan Mitchell trade rumors:
- I know there are other teams interested but what the price that the Jazz are looking for which is somewhere in the neighborhood of that four first round picks that they got for Gobert and then other players I think the Knicks are the team that can pay it. I think the Knicks are the team the Jazz want to do the business with and I think the Knicks ultimately will probably feel some pressure to execute that deal. Especially if the season starts and they don't start out super hot. So I would guess that eventually Donovan Mitchell is a Knick. That's an educated guess. I don't know of course and I think it's really right now all about the two sides doing their own posturing and negotiation on what the price is going to be.

The asking price for Mitchell is WAY TOO HIGH. we spent all of last season begging to see the kids play, we enjoyed watching them play and ball out and somebody thinks it’s a good idea to trade all of them and most future draft picks for a single very good player. I think it’s a terrible idea.

What you described that Utah is looking for is too expensive. I wouldn't pay that, Toppin, IQ, Grimes, Derek Rose and 4 or 5 1st round draft picks. That's way too much. I wouldn't do it. You still need role players. I like Donovan Mitchell but I wouldn't give all that up. Besides we don't even know what kind of players IQ and Toppin can be if given an opportunity

Michael Wilbon is a treasure and a has a point the East is Stacked even with Mitchell we are not better than Brooklyn Milwaukee Celtics so now the second tier is Philly Miami and I think that puts us there but I love Chicago and Atl too
