It wasn't about Knick not wanting to trade one player (Grimes). That's the narrative people keep putting out there. 3-4 player including up to 5 picks was insane.
No one in their right mind would make that deal. Knicks offered Barrett, Obi Toppin, Mitchell Robinson and three unprotected first-round picks and they rejected that. They wanted to include Grimes and Quickly and more (all) unprotected pick. He was never going to trade Mitchell to the Knicks. And our new strategy is working. The Knicks will get Mitchell for far less and not trading with Utah we got OG. That would have never happened if the made that trade with Utah. As a life long New Yorker and Knicks fan, every time in the past we jumped at the first offer we got BURNED your years. It's either going to me Mitchell, Booker or Bridges. Mark my words !!!

Donovan controls the cards. All he has to do is decline an extension with any team EXCEPT the Knicks. Get Donovan ASAP. Let's get rid of those "too small backcourt" bullsh$t. NO ONE said a peep about Deuce, Divo, and Brunson playing together. Spyda is better than both. Brunson and Donovan WILL be a backcourt that gets us to the finals.

55. I like both centers, but if I had to choose...I would pick Isaiah Hartenstein. That's not to say that Mitchell Robinson is a slouch. He's a great defender, shot blocker and finisher at the rim. However I think we can get those same things from Precious Achiwua and Jericho Sims.

Also Isaiah Hartenstein does some of those things nearly as well. And even if he's not as great defensively, there are other defenders on the perimeter or on the wings that can slow down players that are driving into the paint.

I definitely agree with what you said about Isaiah Hartenstein being used like Joakim Noah. That's exactly how I was thinking of him watching him these last few months. He can pass out of the paint as a sort of point center, shoot from the mid-range, drive to the rim and finish and is quicker on his feet.

The Knicks have a ton of draft picks that they can offer for Donovan Mitchell too. But if they can't get him...they should try to go for 2 of these guys: Dejounte Murray, Mikal Bridges, Kyle Kuzma, Collin Sexton, Lauri Markannen, Keldon Johnson and Caris LeVert.

What the team needs is consistent scoring outside of Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle. Some of the guys on the team can score and get very hot. However they sometimes have times when they get very cold. A guy who can get buckets would give Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle time to rest, pick their spots on offense or avoid double teams.
