Social Capital

Social Capital is the glue that holds society together and the lubricant that keeps it running effectively. Social capital can be a difficult concept to grasp and is also difficult to measure. It is made even harder by the complexity of modern society and the variety of situations where social capital is present. In this episode, I will explain what social capital is and how it is measured. I will analyse and synthesise social capital in a group of friends as an example to show how understanding it can help society to build and maintain social capital and benefit from having it.
