The ongoing investigation into the horrifying rape-murder of a 31-year-old postgraduate trainee doctor has revealed shocking details about Sanjay Roy, the prime accused. Roy was arrested a day after the body of the doctor was found in the seminar hall of the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on August 9.

Sanjay Roy, along with another civic volunteer, visited Sonagachi after midnight on August 8 - a 'red light area' in North Kolkata, sources told India Today TV. Roy had also consumed alcohol, they added.
