Baibars Hotel and Restaurant - Just across the hill from Krak des Chevaliers castle is an amazing family who stayed in this region. They run a guest house and serve some amazing home made Syrian food including some of the best garlic grilled chicken, braised eggplant, lamb kebabs in pomegranate molasses. Total price - 700,000 SYP ($46.66)

Krak des Chevaliers - Next we visited the stunning Krak des Chevaliers, one of the world’s most preserved and intact Crusader castles.

Jarjour Winery - In this same region, they are Jarjour Winery is aiming to preserve 10,000 years of wine history in Syria!

LeMond Restaurant - For dinner there weren’t too many restaurants open, but Rami took me to eat at a restaurant serving Shakriyeh - Syrian yogurt stew. Total price - 250,000 SYP ($16.66) for everything
