Rural Canadian here. Retired police officer....35 years service.

Police tactics instructor/Emergency Response Team (ERT) sniper qualified (My lead instructor was a retired British SAS sniper instructor)

Served in Amman Jordan in 2004 instructing Iraq Police Recruits in police tactics and firearms tactics. Served 11 years in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves Military Police Platoon. Awarded 'Forces 50', 1982, top 50 Marksmen, British Commonwealth Combat Firearms Competition, Connaught Range, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada as well as Top Candidate Combat Leaders Course CAF Reserves, Trade Level 3 Military Police.

Military trained in Winter Warfare Combat/Survival

I know tactics, I know threat assessment, I know survival techniques.

I have been 'prepping' for the past 44 years and really serious for the last year. Freeze drying/pressure canning/vaccum sealing food. Stockpiling and equipment parts. I have 3 head of beef cattle in the pasture and 1/2 side of moose and beef each in the freezer.

I live on a 150 acre farm. I used to have horses but now raise beef livestock. I am a hunter, fisherman, trapper, woodsman, carpenter, logger, sawmiller, welder, metal fabricator, basic electricity/plumbing/crop producer/animal husbandry knowledge.

I live where there is an abundance of 1/4 mile from my house. I am blessed to be surrounded by great neighbours who possess the skills and knowledge I don't have and who supply me with all the eggs and help when I need. I have several generators, two wells (one with a hand pump) sawmill, tractor, etc. In the spring I am bulding a root cellar. I have a two year supply of food packaged and stored for my wife and I. I am now doing up '2 week emergency rations packs' for all of my neighbours (should they require it) on our 20 family dead end road.

Some of my family and friends think that I am paranoid. But I am OK with that as I have spent my life doing 'threat assessment' (I retired from the RCMP Criminal Intelligence Unit) and I recognize the threat that we are facing.

Our small rural community help and watch out for one another. (people have messed with us on occassion and after a 'community intervention' there has never been a repeat offender.

I am now too old to run (64yrs) therefore I am staying put. I will do what is neccessary to protect myself, my family and my die trying.

And folks....marksmanship is a perishible skill. Keep training.

Remember what happened during Covid 2020-22? If you are not preparing for what is coming in the very near future then you deserve what you will receive. But your family won't deserve that. Please...think of them.

Let's survive 2024, one year at a time! 2025 will be here far too soon. Prepare for the unexpected, anything is possible.

When Helene went through we lost power for a week. Not a big deal for us because we had generators and fuel. Many people lost everything in their freezers. Our plan for a long term power outage is to pressure can everything in our freezers. You mentioned food preservation, and this is an example of why it is important. Great video!

Storage supplies, preferably split up into several locations should be your number one priority. It matters not what crisis your are facing, you have to eat and you have to hydrate! We believe that new preppers should separate wants from needs, building your storage accordingly. I am not too concerned about the safety aspect of the US elections for my family, I am retired far away on the other side of the world. What we all should be preparing for is the aftermath of the election. Wars, rumors of war, new pandemics, possibly man-made and the usual run of natural disasters. Some things you already know are NOT a matter of IF, but a matter of WHEN.
Where I live, we can expect some localized flooding during rain/typhoon season, about every third year on average. Twice we have had flooding two consecutive years. Knowing this, why wouldn't a rational person put something in storage for that occasional bad season? Let me tell you, the supplies we laid up sure came in handy when panic buying began with the start of pandemic lockdowns. We are located a reasonably safe distance from the TAAL lake volcano. When an eruption occurred a few years ago, there was some disruption in transportation of goods and services. Storage supplies and perhaps the masks and eye protection you stored saved the day.
Plan for multiple and redundant systems to the best of your ability. A gen-set is great until the fuel runs out. Have a secondary plan. I prefer gear that needs no electricity. I grind the beans for a morning brew in a hand grinder. It does not disturb the local birds and works well if there is no power. Train and practice with your family or local group of like minded folks. The more you hone your skills and learn additional new skills, the better you will do when bad days come.

The concept of preparation for change until a new norm settles is so important & allows a steady set of goal before during and after. Thank for all you do. These videos are amazing!!

Everyone should see "America's Burning". Our movie theater only had one showing! Why was it one day only, and only one time at night? It feels like someone is trying to hide it. This documentary should go directly to public TV so the most people can see it. Narrated by Michael Douglas, it gives people direction and hope for the future.

Start stacking silver now. When/if the dollar collapses we will have to go back to barder and throughout all of history silver has been the currency. Remember all dimes quarters halves and dollar coins minted before 1965 were 90% silver.

Yes indeed. The larger the war, the higher the fuel prices will rise everywhere. This is because military trucks, armored vehicles, mobile missile launchers, military aircraft and many of the military ships use a lot of oil-based fuels. And if the war disrupts oil production or the shipping of crude oil, fuel prices everywhere will go even higher.

Food production, packaging and distribution uses fuel too, so food prices will rise even if crops are abundant. Anything made of plastic will go up in price too, because most plastic is made from oil. And some electric power is made from oil too. So it will be good economize and save some cash to help pay those increased prices.

People need to realize that so called peaceful protesters 4 years ago will be a cake walk.
All these 3rd world countries people here will have a field day with like being back home. Example: South Africa a year or so ago when they raided the food warehouse chain, trains and trucks.
Right now trains in Chicago are being raided by a Flashmob of 150-200 people at a time. And on another topic:3 WWII Airfields in the pacific region are being put back into operation. Rush jobs on this project. Meanwhile two islands not far from these locations have farms and an airport. Food supplies for the navy ( not ours).

Sure, lets talk about your recession claims. People like you have been yelling recession for years. Have you tried to book an airline flight ? How about a cruise on one of those MEGA cruise ships ? Better plan at least a year ahead. I'm sorry but some people will be broke all of their lives. Poor life decisions. Up until a couple months ago the car lots around me were empty. People couldn't get those 70k+ pickem up trucks fast enough. Sure there will be a recession someday, it's does happen every so offen. Hey, then you can say you were right. Next gas prices, I live outside Atlanta, Ga. Our gas is the cheapest it's been in years. Barrel of oil is in the low $70's today. With what's going on in the Middle East, that's quite remarkable. Sorry, that's all I heard before I turned you off. I understand, the people that watch your channel need to feel better about their place in life, and you need to make a buck. Continue getting people prepared, THAT we need. The rest, not so much.

You people that are stockpiling precious metals at gold and silver that's only going to last you so long, and you can't eat gold and silver are realistically do much with it, if you're going to stockpile precious metals I would suggest stockpiling in BRASS AND LEAD 😉
