Personally I'm really excited to see what Jodie can do. Some of my friends are uncertain about the huge change and I can understand that, but I like giving people a chance rather than assuming right away that I'll like or dislike them. I was a little shocked at first but now that I've had time to adjust to the idea I think she might just be brilliant.

I am disappointed that they chose a woman for the new Doctor, but I am still willing to give her a chance. Just because a person is disappointed does NOT mean that they HATE her. Waite and see how the writers handle her! If she fails, I would put the blame on the writers, not her acting ability.

I never wanted, or want a female Doctor, but we're getting one, so I'll have to live with it. I'm not giving up on Doctor Who because of such a 'little' change, and I'm happy that if it is a women, it's her.
