Thanks for butchering an entire brick to help your point across! I wanted to get into fu bricks for the winter season and yes, the spores had drawn me in. As a new person to fubricks, I was naturally skeptical and heard about the “sameness problem” with these bricks. Never thought of the overemphasis of the spores themselves taking away from the nuances that a tea can have. Thanks for your insight!

Well, there is decent amount of Jin Hua in this tea. I think it's totally fine. I have already had only two versions. One was a bit greener in terms of leaf material and actually was tasting more interesting. The second one is a bit darker and tastes like gingerbread - sweet spices. I liked it as well. Maybe i'll get a sample of your Fu Zhuan, but honestly - I've got the whole 1kg brick of this "darker" 2016 Hunan Heicha Fuzhuan „Jin Hua“. It will take me like next 8 years to drink it completely 😅 Because I've got also other stuff to enjoy 😊

Round two of this tea. Awesome tea. I love the special tastes. Normally I drink Shu very strong and take more tea, but here it is not necessary. You can have more infusions than on many other teas.

I tried fu cha for the first time at the 2023 World Tea Conference in Vegas. I have to admit, that although I’m a teahead, I never warmed up to ripe puerh. So I was hesitant to try the fu cha, but loved it. And the seller was raving about its health benefits.🌱🥃🌱

Yes. I recently received a Fu Zhuan brick and there were tiny bugs crawling all over it, I thought maybe they were paper eating bugs, but inside the brick there were the whole colonies of them. I threw away the brick before bugs could infest my collection. Couldn't find any info in the internet, wtf was that.

Just ordered a tong. I have a good experience with better Shu Pu Ers ordering online from ML. I like it very strong, nutty, spicy or earthy 🙂

Vendors should feed back that adding wheat can limit the potential market for a tea - I mean this must be the case in China too. Coeliac is no joke
