Join Physicist Professor Brian Cox as he explains mind blowing facts about coldest planet in our Solar System, Uranus as Temperatures here can dip as low as -225°C or -373°F. He talks about the blue planet Uranus and its high-altitude clouds. In addition to that, he explains why Uranus is tilted on its side. Moreover, he also talks about Uranus and its rings and compares them with Saturn's spectacular rings. He also explains the temperature of Uranus and how intense sunlight on Uranus would be, also talking about winds. At the end, he explains its moons Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titania, and Oberon and how they were named. Because Uranus tilts uniquely on its axis, it has extreme seasons. Each pole receives approximately 42 years of continuous sunlight, followed by 42 years of darkness.

He explains science in the most artistic way. And his humble tone explaining the wonders of the universe is so soothing.

Finally, a video with captions that are correct. And they actually enhance understanding (VLT expanded to Very Large Telescope. I misheard and was almost distracted- Mmm, sandwich😅)

Well done to whoever put the effort in on this one👍

I love the way astronomers name things.
What is it? A very large telescope. What’s it called? The VLT. What does it stand for? Very Large Telescope. Brilliant.

What’s the next one going to be called? The ELT (Even Larger Telescope)? Right next to the TTLTTPOBNQALATOND (Telescope That’s Larger Than The Previous One But Not Quite As Large As The One Next Door).

My parents bought me a relatively cheap (back in 1975 they were all cheap) backyard telescope in 1975 and the very first thing the scope showed when I set it up was Saturn with its ring system. I didn’t even have to move it - it was pointed at Saturn by default.
