What's interesting for me in such debates is that they pick up questions like "What are we actually describing with modern physics?", "Is the process of observation/measurement really properly taken into consideration?", "Is quantum theory possibly just a tricky and accidentially successful merger of the mathematical description of physical laws with the statistics of observation and measurement?", "Why does gravity seem to refuse to fit together with other types of interaction?", "Is it just a matter of scale and if so, why?"

Weinstein maybe true here & he’s definitely übersmart but what people fail to see is that he’s a poser. Saw this in him from the beginning, during his Rogan & Friedman interviews & his podcast, he’s subtly but consistently manipulating the audience. Even tho he is intelligent & educated & IMO most of the time right, he’s also *playing* & trying to maintain a certain character, the intelligent, the erudite, the warrior for truth. On the other hand there are people like Penrose who are always genuine, always truly humble, never trying to pose & manipulate. Humble, honest people are like the rarest, most exotic flowers.

String theory has had 50 years of the best and brightest minds in theoretical physics. And it has yielded no results to speak of, except 13 dimensions and now they call it “in theory“. So basically string theory is the “alchemy of modern day. A bunch of smart people who think they can turn base metals into gold, and it never bore fruit, and it never will bear fruit

Weinstein's strenuous appeal to alleged super-intelligence of string theorists is at best ridiculous and childish😂. It is like elementary school type of assertion in show of manner like "my father is so much smarter than yours", while in reality there is no substance to support such claim. Cosmologists that work in string theory are trained physicists that decided to work in that direction. Weinstein is such a clown😂🎉
