13:00 ah, the geometric series for 1/(1-x) and 1/(1-x)^2 are the same as their Maclaurin series. And I’d assume the same for 1/(1-x)^n in general, where n is a natural number.

When splitting the summation over two different index ranges, shouldn't the lower limit of the second summation be allowed to equal its upper limit? This is true of the first summation.

Because,

If j+1 must be an integer greater than 1, the smallest value it can take is 2.
If n must be an integer greater than j + 1, the smallest value it can take is 3.

And I'm thinking we should be able to split summations for which n=2.
