How to write the rule of a sum in sigma notation

👉 Learn how to write the rule of a series in sigma notation. A series is the sum of the terms of a sequence. When given a series that is neither arithmetic nor geometric, we can write the rule for the series by first identifying the patterns between the terms of the series, and then we can come up with the rule of the series. Then based on the first term and number of terms we can write the rule of the series using sigma notation.
