This is one of the most heart-wrenching scenes for me. seeing Rumple so human, vulnerable, and accepting of his fate.

It’s such a hard scene to watch. “Spin spin spin...” You can feel the pain in his voice.

I love Rumple and Alice’s relationship he cares about her a lot his selfless action proves it but the look on his face in this watching her with Robin was so fatherly it was cute

The look on hooks face!! He realises that despite everything rumple hasn’t prospered. If anything rumple is the most hurt and lost everything close to him the most. He genuinely feels sorry for him

Genuinely the saddest scene I’ve ever seen. It’s so depressing knowing the sacrifice rumple has made to burden himself with the dagger, how he’s lost all hope for getting back to belle, and he’s losing his sanity to the darkness. Really makes me cry

It's more than just losing the chance to see Belle again.

It's not just loss of Belle. It's the inevitability of his own impending damnation. It's a fight he knows he can't win. Without the Guardian, he'll lose himself, and he knows it.

He's given up. He'll fight it as long as he can - for Belles sake and for his own. But he's already written himself off as lost.

The "first" Hook takes care of Baelfire at Neverland, when Rumple couldn't do it. And now, when Alice becomes Tilly, Rumple takes care of her until Rogers (New Hook) can do so.

That’s the thing, this rumple is the one who married belle and had 2 sons, he is a father also and even though he and Neal had a complicated father-son relationship, he did spend a long time with his other son and him and belle raised him happily together. I think with all that he is able to see Alice as a child as well and he grew fond of her and she is kinda his apprentice so I’m guessing she’s like a goddaughter to him if not like a daughter also. Even after Ivy spells everyone Weaver is always taking care of Tilly.

I think Alice was Rumple’s first ‘real’ friend. Wasn’t she? I mean, before he was kind like this, he didn’t care about anyone except his family. I don’t think he had any friends until Alice.

I cried when I realised Alice was well, Nook's daugther and kinda Rapunzel at the same (I know it's not exactly her, cause she was introduced and it's Tremaine technically but they show way more of Alice painting and stuff like Rapunzel in Tangled, she's trapped in a tower and blahblah) cause Alice's aventures in Wonderland, Peter Pan and Rapunzel are my three favorite stories of all time. I also like how Rumplestiltskin is kinda the Mad Hatter in this reality.

You can tell he's disappointed when the Dark One version of Rumplestiltskin can't even put any effort into his traditional mannerisms.
