Great video. Very informative. I buy Rolex watches I like, but it is good to know what the realistic price is to be paying for them. Some of the grey market prices are ridiculous.

Most telling comment is that the market “was the hottest it has ever been” twelve months before this video. Market has taken a fairly big hit since then. Buy a watch you (a) can afford; (b) you will wear; and (c) you will not be thinking of an investment. Currently wearing a yellow and gold Datejust I bought 40 years ago in Paris for $1, 300 from an authorized dealer. Although it is probably worth much more today, I really don’t care. Will give it to one of my sons.

Does somebody know if there’s any physical difference between a 2008 milgauss black dial and a 2022 version? Looking to buy one for myself to wear. The 2008 is around 10k and 2022 around 12.5k euro’s

You know, it's funny: Jon wasn't a regular in front of the cameras at the start of the videos. He's now, I'm sure, a fan favourite. So easy to love. And the way Stuart turns to him is indicative of the importance he has in this exceptional team that we love so much. Long live the Jon! My favorite is the Mother of Pearl Datejust 41 diamond dial. Rolex quietly discontinued it a couple months ago, and an average of 7 dials are broken before Rolex gets it right. One of the only completely hand made dials with hand set dials. The fact that it's retail-ish is mind blowing.

Pave diamond dials, Mother of Pearl, and meteorite dials are hand made.
