Unironically, this scene is what solidified to me that the writers really cared about Inside Out 1 that they wanted this sequel to expand on it and be a true sequel instead of most of the other sequels we usually get post Cars 2 Pixar.

Joy here feels like she really learnt her lesson from the first movie, and her limit break here is her expressing what she had to deal with even during the first movie, then end it off with something she learnt from the first movie: That she isn't perfect and she doesn't have all the answers, that Riley can't be happy 24/7.

Not just that but Fear, Disgust, and Anger are probably expressing the baggage they had to carry before/during Inside Out 1 too, like the effects of Joy's previous toxic positivity really took a toll on them, with now thinking Joy caused this and that as typical previous Joy, she'd just scrape it off. Joy now probably agrees that she was, indeed, delusional back then. But now we seen how much she's grown as a... person.. emotion.. manifestation entity.

I love how anger, disgust, and fear react differently to joy's outbrust. Fear is obviously scared, disgust is completely shocked, and anger is surprised.
